Charlie Cheese's Pizza Playhouse
Charlie Cheese’s Pizza Playhouse was the Australian branch of Chuck E. Cheese’s Pizza Time Theatre locations, which operated from March 1981 up until the mid 80’s.
History
In 1981, PTT opened their first Charlie Cheese’s in Surfer's Paradise, Queensland 4217, Australia (Grundy's Centre, 2 Cavill Rd.) with a Portrait / Shelf Stage. The name was changed from Chuck to Charlie due to Chuck meaning ’throw up’ in Australian. The Cavil Location closed in 1982. Another location opened the same year in Carina, Queensland, Australia with a Cyberamics Balcony Stage. The location closed around 1984 to 1986, making Charlie Cheese’s defunct.
Merchandise
The only merchandise released for Charlie Cheese’s were a plush with brown fur instead of gray[1] and a logo bumper sticker.[2]
