5465 I-55, Store #213 was a Pizza Time Theatre that opened in August 1982 as part of the Melvin franchise. This location opened as the first Mississippi Chuck E. Cheese's and would later be relocated to 6352 Ridgewood Court Rd in June 2009.

Stages

This location debuted with a Balcony Stage, one of two in the state, the other being in Biloxi, MS. This location also had the Beagles as a lounge act when they were a Pizza Time Theatre, it is unknown when this act was removed. Sometime around 1990, the stage was retrofitted with the C-Stage, and throughout the 1990s, most of the cosmetics would be replaced with updated variants. This would also be one of the final locations to have the façade installation as CEC pushed Studio C (1997)|Studio C to new stores in the late 1990s. In around March 1999, the former Balcony Stage would be demolished, and Studio C would be installed in an empty wall next to the former stage area. In 1999, their C-Stage was replaced by Studio C (1997)|Studio C which remained at the store until relocation. The Chuck E. Cheese animatronic on this Studio C kept its original Late-Night inspired outfit until its relocation in June 2009.

History

Besides the opening of the location, very little is known about this location as a Pizza Time Theatre, other than the fact that before 1991 the location would remodel for the first time as part of unifying Pizza Time Theatre and Showbiz Pizza Place.⁽¹⁾⁽²⁾ The location would remodel for the second and final time in early 1999, most likely receiving Phase II in the process. In the 2000s the store would receive its final games package, Phase III. This would intergrade the new toddler zone near the Skytubes, which would be made smaller during this package. In June 2009 this location would relocate to 6352 Ridgewood Court Rd, with a majority of assets from this location being transferred to the new location. The former space of the Chuck E. Cheese would be bought by a local supermarket and would reopen on December 21, 2010, as 'Oriental Supermarket & Restaurant' and 'Mr. Chen's Authentic Chinese Cooking.'⁽³⁾ The businesses would keep the general layout of the store however with new décor and fixtures around the store. Around March 2023, the store's red doors have been replaced with automatic sliding doors and the awning above the entrance has been removed.
