Jasper T. Jowls (Cyberamic)

The Jasper T. Jowls Cyberamic is an animatronic figure created by Pizza Time Theatre Inc, Kinetix Group Inc, and Animation World Inc for Chuck E. Cheese's locations from 1979-1980's.

History

After the second Pizza Time Theatre opening in 1978, it was decided that Fantasy Forest Manufacturing started creating their figures in a specified way as the previous iterations were in different styles. By the time the Concord, CA location opened in 1979, they have completed their first batch of Cyberamics.

Manufacturing

In November of 1983, production of Cyberamics would be ceased, as Pizza Time Theatre was on the brink of bankruptcy. When Showbiz Pizza purchased Pizza Time's assets in 1985, they would reuse shows from closed Pizza Time Theatres to save materials while opening new locations. In 1991, they finally outsourced production of Cyberamics to Kinetix Group Inc, later Animation World Inc. The final Chuck E. Cheese's location to open when a new set of Cyberamics would end up being Mentor, Ohio in 1998.

Design

As Fantasy Forest simply translated the previous portrait designs into Cyberamic forms, Showbiz Pizza Time would do something much more. In 1986 the Jasper Cyberamic would receive its first major costume change designed by Jul Kamen. Jasper is given a larger hat and a new Yellow and Black shirt with patches. This change lasted up until 1990 when Jul Kamen redesigned all of Munch's Make-Believe Band and created the standard Jasper design for all appearances. The new design featured Jasper wearing red shoes, a cow print shirt, and overalls. The final design to be concepted and used on the Cyberamic would only be used at one location in 1994, as it was one of the test outfits for a complete outfit overhaul for Munch's Make-Believe Band created by Shelly Atkins. Jasper's design incorporated a long sleeve green shirt, black pants, and boots. For unforeseen reasons this design never made out out of the initial test location.
