Kansas City, MO (2726 NE Vivion Rd) (Commonly referred to as ‘Antioch’) was a Chuck E Cheese's that opened on March 2nd [1], 1980 as the first Showbiz Pizza Place in The Antioch Mall and closed sometime from May 2007 to August 2008 for the Opening of Kansas City, MO (9196 N Skyview Ave) on August 6th, 2008 [2].

Pre-Opening
Pizza Time Theatre
Kansas City, MO (2726 NE Vivion Rd) was originally planned to be developed as the ninth Pizza Time Theatre by Pizza Show Biz under Topeka Inn Management alongside Overland Park, KS (10510 Metcalf Lane) [3] & Jacksonville, FL (9820 Atlantic Blvd). The Store was first officially announces on October 10th, 1979, planned to open in February 1980 [4]. For Hire adverts were posted in Newspapers from November to December 1979 [5]. It’s known the Store was fully or mostly built prior to any name change. In January 1980, Bob Brock would visit Creative Engineering, later forming an agreement to house the Wolf Pack 5 in Antioch [6]. The Last mention of the PTT name in the Center is From February 24th, 1980 [7]. It’s unknown when the store officially broke off from PTT.
Showbiz Pizza Place
Antioch would be relisted as an upcoming Pizza Show Biz in January 1980 alongside the opening date being set to March 2nd [7]. Sometime around February 1980, The Showbiz Pizza Place name would be finalized [8]. On February 24th, the Kansas City Star would publish an article covering Showbiz Pizza Place prior to Opening [9], alongside info about CEI and Aaron Fechter. The Article would contain info about the planned opening date, The Characters (Minus Beach Bear), CEI information, and planned future locations. On February 24th, The last currently available coverage of the store prior to opening [11].
