Phoenix, AZ (1810 W Montebello Ave) in the Chris-Town Mall was the only Paul E Parrott’s Pizza N Games, that opened on July 16th 1982 as the only Paul E Parrott’s Pizza Place and closed by September 25th 1983.

History

Pre-Opening

Throughout most of July 1982, Mortronic Inc would send For Hire advertisements to a few local newspapers.[1] The Store would announce it’s grand opening through newspaper advertisements from July 12th to 14th of 1982.[2] The Store would also be covered by newspapers around this time. [3]

Post-Opening

The Store would open on July 16th, 1982.[2] The Grand Opening celebration would go from the 16th to the 18th. The Store opened with a full Animatronic stage show, an Arcade, Skee Balls, Kiddie Games, an Ice Cream Shop (Speeled Ice Cream Shoppe), a Salad Bar, and full menu. The Grand Opening would feature free Balloons, Puppets, and Lollipops. a Coupon would also appear in advertisement newspapers valid until August 8th, 1982. The Store would rebrand to the current name of ‘Paul E. Parrott’s Pizza N Games’ around October of 1982. [4] A Remodel around December 8th 1982 headed by New Manager ‘Raymond Samora’ would see the remodeling of the dining area, a remodeled kitchen, and new arcade games. [5] a New coupon valid until December 31st would also be sent as well. A Third coupon would be sent in January of 1983 valid until February 25th.[6] The Store would host a Live Telethon to an unknown fundraiser to stop cerebral palsy through January 22nd and 23rd of 1983. [7] A Dollar would also be donated for each Pizza purchased in Store. A New coupon would be sent in febraury valid until March 31st. [8] For March, a coupon valid until April 30th was created. [9] A Full Updated Menu would be created and sent to newspapers alongside coupons around mid August of 1983. [10]

Closure

The Store would close by September 25th 1983, with an Auction listing being created that day for an Auction to be held on October 3rd 1983. It’s unknown what happened to the store’s animatronics, appliances, decor, or anything else, or who bought them.
