Winchester Applause Board (Animatronic)

The Winchester Applause Board was an animatronic created by Fantasy Forest in 1977 for the first Pizza Time Theatre on San Jose, CA (370 S Winchester Blvd)(1). the bot was programmed using the Winchester Hardware Setup & Controlled using the Winchester Control System. The Bot was removed when Winchester closed in 1985 & sent to the Sunnyvale, CA (1213 Innsbruck Drive) where it remained until the move to the ShowBiz Pizza Time Corporate Office.

History

The bot was produced in 1977 by Fantasy Forest. The bot was put in the Pizza Time Theatre on San Jose, CA (370 S Winchester Blvd) somewhere in 1977. The bot was at Winchester until 1985, when it was removed & most likely sent to the Sunnyvale, CA (1213 Innsbruck Drive). The bot was most likely thrown out when PTT was moving to the ShowBiz Pizza Time Corporate Office.

Design

Not much is known about the design of the bot. The bot had a Wood barrier around several clapping animal arms.
