All 5 Cases

The 1990-1992 APS Floppy Cases is a collection of 5 floppy disk cases containing floppy discs with Animation Programming System showtapes on them

History

From the beginning of use of the Animation Programming System until August of 1992 the APS Files would be stored for each stage variant of a showtape onto a single floppy disk. These disks would then be stored in cases and later labeled.

These cases would stay in storage at the Showbiz Pizza Time Corporate Office until the mid-2000's, where they would be thrown into the trash for unknown reasons. An employee, Matt Rivera, would notice this and decide to take the cases home for preservation. The cases would pass hands between 2 more fandom members before being archived online.

Showtapes

The shows on the discs are from October 10, 1990 to August 20, 1992, covering full showtapes, Live Shows, Birthday Shows, and Random Movements.

Notably two shows are missing from the lineup that were released in this period, that being King '90 I (October 1990) and King '90 II (December 1990). It is theorized these shows were recorded prior to the installation of the APS system on the older SongCode Hardware Setup.
