What did they say in #wiki work? CEC recognizes it as being in 1994 despite some stores getting it earlier --BurgersNuggs445 (talk) 19:38, 19 March 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hey -- We agreed in chat that 1994 is not an exact year and the annual report for 1993 that SP.com recently posted only suggests initiatives within 1994, and nobody's come forward to say that SPT gave it a name. To be honest with you, the driving force towards this page writeup was that people were mixing phases with remodels, and it has caused confusion on store pages, and I brought it up and we started discussing what was on the wiki and what it should say, we clarified what phases actually are. Also, a lot of the store pages tend to describe the remodel itself in general terms (who knows why?) and many of us in the chat are finding that redundant. Also a lot of pages currently are wrong anyway because they're using phase terms instead of remodel terms... But that's beside the point -- do you have a source where SPT specifically calls it a "1994 remodel"? Thanks! Stripes (talk) 20:20, 19 March 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I've never believed that it had an exact name, matter of fact I was unsure of what to call it since in the 1994 annual report & F.Y.I video they call it a repositioning/remodel program. Although remodels have been completed before 1994, I'm just going off of the fact that CEC recognized it as a major initiative in 1994. The 1993 report casually mentions these remodels but never goes into depth about them. I don't know how anyone would confuse 1994 remodel with phase 3, that's virtually impossible to mix up unless you've been out of the loop for the last 3 years. If store pages are using phase terms in place of remodels that is at the fault of the page creator. --BurgersNuggs445 (talk) 04:06, 20 March 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
