Grand Chute / Appleton, WI (4671 Michales Dr)
4671 Michales Dr, Store #603 was a Chuck E. Cheese's that opened on March 19, 1998, with a Studio C Alpha, this location received 2.0 in 2019, which then closed in June 2020.
This location is not to be confused with Grand Chute / Appleton, WI (2424 W College Ave) which opened as a Showbiz Pizza Place on May 22, 1983, and closed in November of 1985.
History:
Grand Chute, also known as Appleton, opened on March 19th, 1998, with the 1993 Remodel, Due to this being one of the first Studio C Alphas to be installed the store featured record posters instead of the normal Must C TVs. The rest of the posters were the same ones that would be seen in any store that gained the 1993 remodel and with that they also had showroom walls.
By 2014, they'd receive purple walls and would remove the shelves in the showroom. Otherwise, the original exterior, most of the original décor, and even the showroom walls were left intact. The apple TV was also removed by then but replaced with a regular smaller screen.
They would have this until sometime on September 23, 2019, when they would undergo the 2.0 remodel, this meant removing the animatronic stage and replacing it with a Dance Floor, this would also mark the removal for all the 90s décor and removal of the show room walls. The store would have its Grand Re-Opening on December 3, 2019. This remodel would only last 6 months as in June 2020 the store would permanently close because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and CEC Entertainment filing for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy during that time. After closure, Grand Chute sent several games and other things to the Green Bay location. On February 26, 2022 "Sapphire Moon Chocolates" moved in which reused the entire former CEC leaving everything that hadn't been removed prior or featured the CEC Branding on it.
Stage:
Originally when Grand Chute opened, they had a Studio C Alpha stage, they also had an interactive console which featured a Chinese copy of Flint Stones Memory Match [1]
This would be removed between 2014 - June 2016. In October 2019 the Studio C Alpha would be removed and replaced with a Dance Floor. They would only have this until June of 2020, when they closed. They were either the second to last or third last Alpha in Wisconsin, as Racine received 2.0 in 2019 as well, leaving Brookfield, the very first Studio C Alpha, to be the last in the state of Wisconsin.
