The store would receive more parts from the [[Columbus, OH (4284 Macsway Ave)]] store during this time such as two building backdrops, Jasper's hat, the star bulbs, and the top of the organ. The buildings were later destroyed, and Jasper's hat remained backstage never to be used. The stage would receive a Studio C air compressor which would be enough to run just Chuck in February 2021. Exterior of Springfield, OH on June 22, 2022.

Springfield, OH (2345 Valley Loop Rd) is a Chuck E. Cheese, formerly a Showbiz Pizza Place, that opened on January 12, 1983, with a Rock-afire Explosion, which is still open to this day.

This location received 2.0 in August 2022, leaving no more 3-Stages in Ohio.

Stages

The store opened with the Rock Afire Explosion on January 12, 1983. The store then would start Concept Unification circa 1992, which converted the Rock Afire Explosion to the 3-Stage. In October 2019 the store received Jasper's can and the Avenger outfit from the closed Cincinnati, OH (8801 Colerain Ave) store.

In November 2019, the compressor on the show ceased function, and it stayed aired down during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The store would receive more parts from the Columbus, OH (4284 Macsway Ave) store during this time such as two building backdrops, Jasper's hat, the star bulbs, and the top of the organ. The buildings were later destroyed, and Jasper's hat remained backstage never to be used. The stage would receive a Studio C air compressor which would be enough to run just Chuck in February 2021. This was until February of 2022 when the store finally repaired the compressor, and could run the full show.

Approximately 3 weeks after the compressor was repaired, it almost immediately broke again. In May 2022, the air compressor issues were somewhat resolved with all characters working again, but only after each character's movements were halved to conserve air. In the summer, the curtains were removed for not being fire-retardant. On August 10th, 2022, the show was removed as the 17th to last 3-Stage.

History

The Springfield, OH Showbiz Pizza Place opened along with the Muskegon, MI store on January 12th, 1983 and was the 147th store in the company. This store would appear consistent with its opening day layout and architecture with the exception of new game packages over the years and the introduction of the 1988 remodel on June 28th, 1990. This entailed gaining colorful checkered patterns on the walls, 1930s-esque oil painting depictions of the characters, and eliminating much of the Showbiz aesthetic. Likewise, the store was renamed Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza.

It is currently unknown as to when the store got Concept Unification, but it is rumored to be around 1992 due to the color of the valance above the stage. The store would then receive the 1993 remodel in the mid to late 1990s, which included getting CD Award posters, sports magazine parodies, hard plastic portraits of the characters, etc.

Between mid 2014 and early 2015, the store would undergo changes to its appearance, with art such as the sports decor, planters and hanging stars being removed. The showroom's right artifact shelf was removed in December 2014, followed by the left shelf almost immediately in 2015 along with various walls being painted purple. The store's appearance then stayed consistent, until their 2.0 remodel.

On July 25th, 2022, Springfield, OH started its 2.0 remodel. This marked the removal of the showroom walls, dim lighting, 90s decor, and 3-Stage, among other things. On August 10th, 2022, the 3-Stage was removed and was disposed of behind the store. The fate of the show is unknown, as it was sitting idly in the dumpster for up to a week afterwards.

With the removal of its show, the store was the 3rd last with a 3-Stage and showroom walls (behind Tallahassee, FL and Lynnwood, WA which has a Cyberamic 3-Stage), and the last 3-Stage store with the 1993 remodel.
