St. Louis River Revue

The Saint Louis River Revue is a show created by Landmark Entertainment Group for the SS Admiral entertainment complex, owned by Six Flags at the time. It was located in the Birdland Theater, which was created for this show. Ted King produced this soundtrack as well as providing the voices to characters Mudbank McGee (singer of Jambalaya) along with the Scatbird, Louie Wails was voiced by Lewis Arquette, and Beth Lawrence brought the voice to the character that sings Proud Mary. The animatronics were produced by Creative Presentations Inc. This show’s premise was the musical hits of Saint Louis performed by a large cast of birds.[1]
Characters
Louis Wails
The leader of the show. They stood on the right stage and played the trumpet.
Dr. Tweet
Leader of Dr. Tweet's Birdland Band. They were on the middle stage and played the trombone.
Tom Tom Tommy
Tom Tom Tommy was the drummer of the Birdland Band, sitting in the middle stage.
Little Jimmy
Little Jimmy was the clarinet player of the Birdland Band, sitting on middle stage.
Hot Licks Hansen
Hot Licks Hansen was the piano player of the Birdland Band, playing on the middle stage.
Mudbank McGee
Mudbank McGee played the banjo and sang "Jambalaya" before being yelled at by his wife off stage.
The Chickadees
Three white birds similar to the Sun Bonnets from the Country Bear Jamboree. Towards the end of the show 3 smaller ones also pop up that look similar to them.
Dominique Dubois
Dubois stood on the left stage and would sing Proud Mary at the end of the show. They are also a parody of Tina Turner.
Scatbird
Scatbird pops out of the proscenium of the Birdland Theater to interrupt the show a lot, and also to sing "Scat Singin's Where It's At".
Charlie Shades
Charlie Shades stood on the left stage and sang "Minnie The Moocher"
Scrapped Characters
Benny Beak
Benny Beak would have been the trombone player of the Birdland Band, likely making Dr. Tweet play the trumpet.
Unnamed Turkey Lady
Not much info is available, but they were likely similar to Fifi La Mue from The Great Texas Longhorn Revue.
