Montfort in February 2021

13125 Montfort Dr was a Chuck E. Cheese's that opened on January 26, 1983 with a Rock-afire Explosion, which closed and relocated in December 2001.

This store is notable for being the very first store to house a CU 3 stage, and later the only Awesome Adventure Machine stage. Throughout the 90s, this location was also featured in many training tapes and showtapes for Chuck E. Cheese restaurants.

Stages

Montfort opened in 1983 with a Rock-afire Explosion, which remained until 1989 when they received the first Concept Unification Stage, also known as the 3-Stage. The 3-Stage was in good shape until around January 1996, when it fell into disrepair. In August 1996, Montfort was chosen as the test store for the Awesome Adventure Machine. Unfortunately, this stage was too expensive to install nationwide. In late 1997 or early 1998, the Awesome Adventure Machine was replaced with a Studio C Alpha, which remained until the store's closure in 2001.

History

Showbiz Pizza

This store opened as a Showbiz Pizza on January 26, 1983. There's only one known video of their show before conversion to a Chuck E. Cheese's.

Chuck E. Cheese's

This store converted to a Chuck E. Cheese's in 1989 and received the then-new Munch's Make Believe Band show. It was stated that their Rock-afire show had brought in a lot of money, and the company had hoped this new show would continue that trend.

Sometime between 1994-1996, this store received the phase 3 remodel with rainbow lights, record posters, and planters.

In August 1996, this store got the Awesome Adventure Machine stage, which was programmed in-store after hours.

For unknown reasons, Montfort moved up the street in December 2001, leaving the building to be partially redeveloped by Target. Target left the showroom and partial gameroom mostly intact; the Chuck E. Cheese's space is currently used for office space and storage.
