Torrance, CA (2821 Pacific Coast Hwy)
2821 Pacific Coast Hwy (also known as Pacific Coast) was a Showbiz Pizza Place that opened on March 24, 1983 with a Rock-Afire Explosion, which is still open to this day.
Torrance (Pacific Coast) converted to a Chuck E. Cheese around 1991, converted to the Studio C Alpha in 2000, received a Chuck E. Live Stage in 2016, and then received 2.0 in October 2021. It is located in the "Town&Country" shopping center.
This location should not be confused with Torrance, CA (16920 Prairie Ave), which was a former Pizza Time Theatre that opened in 1983 and is still open to this day. Like with San Antonio, Torrance is also another and last city to have a Pizza Time Theatre and Showbiz Pizza within the same city.
History
Torrance (Pacific Coast) opened on March 24th, 1983 as ShowBiz Pizza Place with a Rock-Afire Explosion. They would later end up receiving the 1988 Remodel removing old Showbiz decor. In 1991, Torrance (Pacific Coast) received Concept Unification which removed the Rock-Afire for the 3-Stage. Torrance (Pacific Coast) underwent another remodel in the Mid 1990's which involved the removal of the Neon Signage, Blue and White Awnings, & some checkers around the store, a change to the exterior, and added new decor and SkyTubes. In 2000, Torrance (Pacific Coast) received the Phase 3 remodel which involved removing 1990's store art including the record posters, another change to the exterior, some 1990's elements, and replacing the 3-Stage for the Studio C Alpha. In 2008-2009, Torrance (Pacific Coast) received the 2005 Remodel which removing all 1990's store art, Balcony Seating, Showroom Walls, adding purple walls. As of January 2023, Torrance (Pacific Coast) still has the 2.0 Remodel and 2021 Model Dance Floor.
