Humble, TX (124 E FM 1960 Bypass), Store #105 is a Chuck E. Cheese's located in Humble, TX that opened on December 16th, 1999 with a Studio C Alpha and is still open today.
History
Pre-CEC
The entire shopping center that Chuck E. Cheese currently occupies was originally built in 1979[1] as a Randalls Food Market, opening around 1980. Randalls would operate until its closure in 1993,[2] later being subdivided into an Office Depot and Discovery Zone. There's no known information about Humble's Discovery Zone but closed presumably around the late 90s. After Discovery Zone's closure, Chuck E. Cheese would eventually take over the space of the former Discovery Zone.
Opening as CEC
On December 16th, 1999, this store had opened their doors with the 1999 Remodel and Studio C Alpha stage with a 32m Bot.
2005 Update
In November 2007,[3] the store would begin its remodel to the 2005 Update of the 2003 "Cool Chuck" Reconfiguration / Major Remodel Initiative. The exterior would remain like this until near the end of 2021, when the exterior was repainted due to the shopping center it was in remodeling. It would remain like this until 2022 when they received the 2.0 remodel.
2.0 Remodel
Around May 2022, Humble would start its 2.0 remodel, and their Studio C Alpha was removed around May 2022 to be replaced with a Dance Floor. Apart of the remodel included a special mural near the showroom, staring Chuck E. and his band, including Bella B.
Incidents
The most notable incident at this store happened on December 31st, 2021, when a 24-year-old Corpus Christi native, Calogero Duenes was shot outside of this location while bringing his daughter's birthday cake to the inside of this store. The shooter, Antoine Daniel Badon was in his car when he shot the father and took off. The shooter was eventually caught and arrested.
