Waldorf's exterior in the 2000's


2928 Festival Way, Store #92 was a Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza that operated from March 24, 1992, to May 24, 2012. Waldorf is known as the first store to open with a 1-Stage around the test period early in 1992.

Stages

When Waldorf opened, Showbiz Pizza Time Inc. decided to test a new stage called a 1-Stage. It was first installed in this store, and remained there until 2000, when it got replaced with a Studio C Alpha. In May 2012, the location closed and took the Alpha to 3241 Plaza Way.

History

Waldorf opened on March 24, 1992 with a test 1-Stage. Their 1-Stage was similar to a lot of the early 1-Stages such as Soldano, Lancaster, CA, and Durham, NC. In the mid 90's, they received Phase 1 of the 1994 SPT Repositioning / Remodel Program. They received Phase 3 (2000) in 2000 and removed the first 1-Stage ever for a Studio C Alpha.

In 2012, they decided to relocate to a bigger location after 20 years of operation. Surprisingly enough, they relocated the entire stage when they moved, and the new location became the last Chuck E. Cheese's location to open with an Alpha (and second to last Alpha installed in any store beat by Dearborn, MI (24399 Michigan Ave)).
