901 Harbor Blvd (now 1111 S. Harbor Blvd) was a Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre that opened in May 1980 and closed in December 1984 with a Portrait Stage.[1] This was the 10th CEC ever opened.

Stage

La Habra opened with a Portrait Stage. However, further documentation is unknown.

History

Pizza Time Theatre would announce in December of 1979 a La Habra store opening in the Pizza Times: Vol. 1, No. 1 as one of the first locations to open in 1980. In April of 1980 PTT would do a job opening for a manager at the location, being the first public announcement of the store. Before opening, assistant manager Joe Fisher would train kitchen staff- and later be part of the opening team at the location.[2][3]

Opening

La Habra opened in May of 1980 with a Portrait Stage, and was the 10th PTT to open.[4][5]

By May of 1981 La Habra would join with the Huntington Beach, Fullerton, and Garden Grove stores for two sports promotions. One would be sponsoring alongside the Long Beach store the California Surfs soccer team's MVP award, and the other was hosting a softball league called the "Pizza Leagues". La Habra's team would be the champions of the league.[6]

Closing

On October 21, 1984, the store would be selected to be auctioned off as part of Pizza Time Theatre's bankruptcy.[7] Its lease would be auctioned on November 27th along with 58 other locations, though it is unknown if it was purchased on that day.[8] By December 2nd a separate auction company would announce an auction to clear out all animatronics, kitchen equipment, arcades, and other items in the store. The auction would take place on December 11th.[9][1]

It is unknown what the location would become after the auction, though by November of 2008 it would be a Yang Ming Marine Transport location, and by November 2012 the location would be demolished and rebuilt as a CVS Health. It is unknown if the 2008 building was the original Pizza Time Theatre building or if it had gone through demolitions or expansions during the decades.
