Newington, NH (30 Fox Run Rd)

30 Fox Run Rd, Store #471 was a Pizza Time Theatre that opened in August 1983 (day unknown) as a franchise location with a Balcony Stage and closed in March 31st, 2018 with a 2-Stage.

It was the second and last Chuck E. Cheese to open in New Hampshire.

After this location closed, the Manchester, NH (1525 S Willow St) location would be the only one left in the state which opened in August 1982 with a Balcony Stage and is still open to this day.

History

Newington opened in August 1983 as a franchise-owned location. It opened with the Balcony Stage and the Lounge room. Newington was then bought by the corporate on February 2nd, 1987 along with Manchester and Danvers, MA. Newington later received with the 1988 Remodel in 1989-1990 which included the removal of PTT decor for CU decor, received the Blue and White awnings above the salad bar, the checkers around and outside the store, and the C-Stage replacing the Balcony Stage. Newington's exterior was not changed. Around the early 1990's, they replaced older decor for newer decor, received the Blue and White awnings, checkers around the store, and the removal of the C-Stage for the 2-Stage. In the late 90's Newington received Phase 2 removing older decor for newer decor, removed the Blue and White awnings, and added SkyTubes. Newington remained like this until 2006, when they would receive the 2005 remodel trashing older decor for newer decor, removed all checkers around the store, removed Showroom Walls, Balcony Seating, relocated the stage, and finally changing the exterior after it remained the same after 23 years (although the yellow-red awning when it first opened was removed and had the checkers outside only for it to be replaced by the red-yellow awning). Newington remained like this until their closure on March 31st, 2018. They closed probably due to a lease disagreement. After closure, the store was gutted and remained abandoned for a few months until a furniture store called "Bernie and Phyl's Furniture" moved into the space. Currently, as of March 2023, Bernie and Phyl's Furniture is still there.

Stages

Like all PTT's at the time, Newington opened with a Balcony Stage, one of two in the state (The other being Manchester, NH (1525 S Willow St)).

In around 1989 or 1990, the Balcony Stage was replaced with Chuck E.'s House Facade or the C-Stage.

In the Early-Mid 90's, their C-Stage was replaced with the 2-Stage which remained at the store until their closure.
