Studio C 2000 (also known as the Studio C Beta by fans[1]) is a stage format that was installed in Chuck E. Cheese's locations from 2000-2012. It was the second widely installed stage to have just 1 main animatronic character. 56 Studio C 2000's remain as of November 2023.

History

Little is known about this particular variant, however it is known that it originally replaced 3-Stage (Clearwater replaced a Road Stage) locations in Fall 2000.

Chuck E.'s Stage

Chuck E. Stage features either a 32M or 16M (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has a hybrid, with a 32M body and 16M head.) Chuck E. Cheese animatronic created by Garner Holt Productions, Inc.,and a backdrop that features a large swirl in the center that lights up, as well as tubes and boxes that also light up. At first, special carpet was used that was black and said "Studio C" all over, although many stores have replaced it with the store's normal carpet.

Middle (TV) Area

In the middle of the stage to the Chuck E. bot's right is a gray structure with a large red "CEC" in the middle, mirrors on the left and right that also light up. Above it are three large TVs, the middle being slightly taller than the two on the left and right of the middle TV. On top of the TVs are three light boxes, although some locations do not have them.

Blue Screen Area

The Blue Screen area, as it's name says, featured the Blue Screen, which was a feature originally included on the Studio C (1997) stage, as well as the Studio C Prototype (2000) stage, although the Studio C 2000's Blue Screen featured a slightly different design, with a "Studio C" sign which was similar to what was on the Studio C stage, except the "C" was not attached to the Blue Screen, but rather the wall. on the left of the Blue Screen was a small picture of Chuck E. surfing and Mr. Munch scuba diving.

Single Screen Fall 2000 - January 2003

The Single Screen Studio C 2000 was introduced in Fall 2000 at the Clearwater, FL location, replacing a Road Stage. Instead of having three screens in the middle, there is only one. It features lighting at the top, a large CRT TV in the middle, and a subwoofer on the bottom. At Clearwater, it has the gold “CEC” letters instead of the usual red like the other Fall 2000 Betas, but also had a one-of-a-kind bluescreen that has since been removed. All other Single Screen Betas featured the standard Blue Screen setup. All Single Screen 2000's featured a 32m Chuck E. Cheese animatronic.

Small-Town Studio C Features May 2012 - August 2012

This design of the Studio C 2000 was drastically changed in May of 2012, with a few elements of the Small-Town Studio C (Studio C Cappa) instead of the normal Studio C 2000 structure. This design debuted at Independence, MO (18701 E 39th St), and was installed until August 2012, when Concepion, Chile opened, Concepcion being the very last Studio C 2000 store to open.

Chuck E.'s Stage

The design of Chuck E.'s stage was exactly the same as the previous design of the Studio C 2000.

Middle (TV) Area

The design of the middle area was drastically changed by making the gray structure light gray and have a red CEC with a ray of red and yellow directly below it, the mirros being retained, but the light box above the TV's was removed and in between the TV's was the most noticeable feature from the Small-Town Studio C, which was a light piece with a small CEC emblem in the middle, therefore making CEC be listed twice on the structure.

Blue Screen Area

The design of the Blue Screen area was changed to get rid of the Blue Screen (stores had started to remove the cameras and place the Ticket Blaster in it's place.) and replace it with a blue and yellow background that consisted of tickets, as well as small lights.
