2 Cavill Avenue was a Charlie Cheese's Pizza Playhouse that opened in March 1981 with a Balcony Stage, which closed and relocated to Carindale, Queensland, in 1982.
This was the very first location outside of the United States, and after Carindale closed in 1984-1986, there have been no CEC's in Australia
History
Chuck E. Cheese's Pizza Time Theatre was looking to expand internationally, and the very first location they opened outside the US was in Australia. The location was actually the 28th Pizza Time Theatre to open. The name was changed to Charlie Cheese's Pizza Playhouse, since the word "Chuck" in Australian English means "To throw up". The location was in a entertainment venue called "Grundy's Paradise Centre", which was founded by a man named Roy Grundy, who was apart of the Grundy Organisation, a company that did many different things, like making Australian TV shows.
Stages
The location opened with a Shelf Stage. They would also have Dolli Dimples in the cabaret area.
