The original Rocker Stage in Arlington, TX.

Chuck E.'s House, or the Rocker Stage, was a stage format found at Showbiz Pizza and Chuck E. Cheese's locations from February 1st, 1987 to June 12, 2022.

It was the first stage to give Chuck E., Helen, and Jasper legs, while Munch and Pasqually remained half-bodied. This was the first new CEC stage created after the merger. The Rocker Stage would debut at the Arlington, Texas location on February 1st, 1987, and would go extinct at the Rockford, Illinois location on June 12, 2022.

History

In 1986, various concepts were created in order to introduce full bodied Cyberamics to CEC locations. The original idea was a general store with Chuck E. standing, Jasper sitting in a rocking chair, Helen in a swing, and Munch and Pasqually sitting in barrels.[1] Eventually the stage became the front porch of a house, with Chuck E, Helen and Jasper sitting outside and Munch and Pasqually behind windows.

The house was designed by Corman and Associates and was available in two heights, 10' 6", with the price of $9,600, and 12' with the higher price of $10,400. Bottom halves for Chuck E., Helen and Jasper would be provided by Creative Presentations and cost a total of $2,500. Flowers and bushes were provided by Design Plants, Inc and cost $800. The initial prototype was built by Gene Patrick Productions, Inc and installed at the Arlington, Texas location on February 1st, 1987. A showroom remodel called "Chuck E.'s Town Square" was designed to go alongside the stage, theming the entire showroom to a hometown square. It is unknown if this remodel was ever installed.

In 1989, Chuck E.'s House Facade was created in order to cheapen the installation by allowing it to fit over an existing stage. This and the full stage would be the mainly installed until the Road Stage was introduced in 1990.

Design

In short, the stage is designed as a home with a large porch in the center and two rooms with large windows looking in on the sides. The porch is covered with a large overhang with popcorn lights surrounding it. Most locations had various pieces of foliage surrounding the main stage, animated butterflies and birds.

Inside the two large windows on either side sat Pasqually or Munch. They sat in dim rooms with a colorful backdrop and one light directly above their heads that lit up when speaking. A lesser known fact, this is the only Cyberamic stage variant to have Munch and Pasqually's valves under the character weather than inside of their torsos.

Stage Heights

The 12' variant was almost exclusively made for new locations, as existing locations either got the House Facade or the shorter 10'6" variant. Details exclusive to this would be an inanimate American flag over the Chuck E. Cheese Cyberamic, faux dormer windows, and an overall taller roof.

10'6" stages were for locations that had a shorter ceiling height received this variant. This doesn't completely stray from the original design as it makes due with how much space it has by introducing a second overhang over the Chuck E. Cheese Cyberamic, removing the faux windows and flag.
