This store is notable for being the very first store to house a CU 3 stage, and later the only Awesome Adventure Machine stage. Throughout the 90s, this location was also featured in many training tapes and showtapes for Chuck E. Cheese restaurants. This location also opened with a Sports Room.

Stages

Montfort opened with a Rock-afire Explosion which at some point was minorly customized to have a custom backdrop on center stage, this was changed back before 1988. Shortly after, in 1989, they received the first Concept Unification Stage, also known as the 3-Stage. This show was in good shape for most of it's run until around January 1996, when it fell into disrepair.

On August 11, 1996, the store began installation on the Awesome Adventure Machine stage, which finished installation by August 21, which was the initial in store premiere. Unfortunately, the stage didn't last long because due to budget and technical concerns, so CEC removed the AAM and received on of the first Studio C's. The Awesome Adventure Machine was so powerful that it required two large generators to power everything. These two generators still remain behind the building.

History

Showbiz Pizza

In the Fall of 1983, the first of four Showscan[1] theater's installed inside a showbiz pizza, having its premiere's on November 28, 1983 for Showbiz Pizza and Brock Hotel Corp executives. However, this concept was removed before 1985, details of why are unknown.

This store remodeled by February 1988 and received the then-new Munch's Make Believe Band stage show shortly after. It was stated that their Rock-afire show had brought in a lot of money, and the company had hoped this new show would continue that trend.

Chuck E. Cheese's

The location would remodel once again around 1995, and would stay that way until the eventual closure-minus minor upgrades.

This location would receive two of the three arcade upgrades: Phase 1 (1994) and Phase 2 (1997), it is unknown if they've ever received Phase 3.

For unknown reasons, this location relocated up the street in December 2001, leaving the building to be partially redeveloped by Target. Target left the Showroom and kiddie area mostly intact; the rest of the Chuck E. Cheese's is currently used for office space and storage. The Studio C animatronic was then relocated to Moreno Valley, CA for their Studio C Beta 32M which opened on March 11th, 2002 which then got the 2.0 remodel in December 2022.
