The Chuck E. Live Stage (Dance Floor) is a stage format that is currently being installed in Chuck E. Cheese locations starting in 2015 and continuing into the present day as part of the "2.0" remodel. It is notable as it is the first CEC stage to not be located on a wall of the restaurant, as it is in the middle of the restaurant (or elsewhere in the restaurant). It is the second CEC stage to not feature animatronics after the Circles Of Light, but there are COLs with animatronics, so the Dance Floor is the first to completely not have animatronics. As of September 2022, there are approximately 220 Dance Floors.
History
Prototype COL Dance Floor 2014-2015
In 2014 the Dallas, TX (13364 Montfort Dr) location received the first Dance Floor. For this version of the Dance Floor, it was originally meant to be in the Arcade portion of Chuck E. Cheese's rather than in the Showroom. The Dance Floor featured a miniature Circles of Lights wall, flat screen TV, and a segmented display countdown, and a Ticket cannon.
Original Design 2015-2017
The Chuck E. Live Stage, known by most of the fandom as the Dance Floor, was first introduced at the Plano, TX (1604 Preston Rd) location in May of 2015, this design got rid of the COL wall, had interactive light panels in the middle, with a slim red frame around it. There was also a fixture on the ceiling above that said "Chuck E. Live!" and "Happy Birthday!!" and had a countdown for the next Live Show, and a single "Circle Of Light". Some locations, like Birmingham (Old Town Rd/ Vestavia), Alabama, received this early version. the design was changed in 2017.
"2.0" Remodel Original Design 2017-2019
Starting in 2017, the Dance Floors were given an update, replacing the slim red frame with a wide blue frame, and changing the ceiling fixture for TV's with stars on top. these were included only in the original 2.0 remodels in 2017, and were replaced with a fixture without the stars included in 2018. the design was updated in 2019. The first location to receive this is the San Antonio (Stone Oak), TX (1403 N Loop) location.
"2.0" Remodel Updated Design 2019-2021
In mid-late 2019, the Dance Floors were updated to have a screen that could display graphics on it, while still retaining the interactive element, while the blue frame was still retained but changed to have diagonal edges. the ceiling fixture with the TV's on it was reduced to just 6 TV's mounted to the ceiling, 3 facing the gameroom, 3 facing the character posters,
"2.0" Remodel Updated Design #2 2021-Present
Starting in March 2021 with Manassas, VA (7730 Streamwalk Lane), the Dance Floors were updated once again to be flat, completely getting rid of the blue frame, leaving just the screen with the graphics. New "2.0" remodels also include a large TV that goes into the wall. This design is currently being used in new locations and remodels. the TV's above the dance floor are no longer installed since there is already a large TV in the wall, and TV's around the restaurant.

Trivia And Other Info
- The 2015 Dance Floors were constructed by Corman and Associates.
- For the 2015 and 2017 dance floors, they had COL light washers that light up with the music.
- The Brandon, FL (1540 W Brandon Blvd) Location got a special segmented display countdown to go over the dance floor.
- The Dance Floor runs on Studio C HD, aka, the Weigl, which uses USB sticks to install the graphics on the newer model dance floors (2019-2021 and 2021-Present models)
- As of September 5th, 2022, there are 215 Dance Floors in the United States, Chile, Peru, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Honduras, Jordan, India, El Salvador, and Bahrain.
- Pompano Beach, Florida, and West Palm Beach, Florida, are the only CEC's to get 2.0 and keep the stage (they both had Circles Of Light, but West Palm Beach removed the animatronic Chuck E.) Strangely, Pompano Beach got the 2019 Dance Floor, despite getting 2.0 in February 2022.
- As of 2022 the only location to have both a Animatronic show and modern dance floor is the Kapolei, HI (700 Haumea St) location.
- The CEC in Dallas, TX (13364 Montfort Dr) received the very first dance floor in 2014.
- The CEC in Plano, Texas, which received the very first showroom dance floor in May 2015, received the updated 2019 model in mid 2019, but kept the original ceiling fixture.
- Kentucky, Nevada, and Colorado have over 3 CEC's with only one having an animatronic stage, Kentucky having a Studio C Alpha (Louisville), Nevada having a Studio C Beta (Las Vegas Nellis), and Colorado having a Studio C Alpha (Englewood)
- Connecticut currently has 3 CEC's which are all 2.0's, Manchester, which received 2.0 in 2019, Orange, which received 2.0 between October 2021 and May 2022, and Newington, which received 2.0 in September 2022, Newington was the last animatronic stage in the state, and they had a 1-Stage, with Newington's 1-Stage being removed, there are now 30 1-Stages, 28 in the United States, and 2 in Chile.
- The San Jose, CA (2445 Fontaine Rd) location received 2.0 in 2018 and 2019, but did not originally get the Dance Floor since they chose to get a Circles Of Light since the store is very large, but received the 2021 Model in Spring 2022, it appears to be more larger than other Dance Floors.
- The Howard Beach, NY location, which opened in January of 2022, was originally supposed to open in around 2020, but was delayed a few times due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Because of this, they have the 2019 Model of Dance Floor, because the 2021 Model did not come out when the store was being built.
- The Yonkers, NY location, which opened in September 2022 is the first new CEC in the United States since Howard Beach, NY, which opened in January 2022, has the 2019 Dance Floor, despite starting construction in Spring 2022.
- Kansas currently has 4 CEC's which are all 2.0's. Overland Park and Olathe received 2.0 in 2017, Topeka received 2.0 in July 2022, and Wichita received 2.0 in September 2022. Topeka was the 11th last Road Stage and Wichita was the 10th last Road Stage.
